Naptime Necessities.

BYooo wawee? check.
Hoohoo wawee? check.
Wooty? check.
Wooty hat? check.
Witeneen? check.
Two Witeneen? check.
Broo (blanket)? check.
And every other CAR he can wrap his hands around? CHECK.
Should I be worried that I have a pack rat on my hands?
Seriously, he is ALWAYS holding onto something.
If so, he is quite the ADORABLE little pack rat.

ps. Yes he sleeps with his eyes partially open. Just like his mama (or so I'm told).
Maybe a little bit freaky, but those who love us have learned to deal with it.

pps. i LOOOOOOVE his naptime . so still and calm. so precious.

Lucia's Room.

You know how things are sometimes cuter in your head than what actually turns out??
That is kind of the case with this. But maybe it's just because there are a few details I am still working on...

In any case, here it is.
before:
It was definitely a long time coming,
AFTER:
Just girly and frilly enough for my sweet girl. My favorite part about it is the paint color...
It totally evokes the feeling I was going for. Simply sweet. Just like my girl.

Jumpin' Around!

Getting some exercise out on the trampoline...
He loves it.
He's still trying to get the hang of it.
Right back up!Wait. Stop everything. Here comes a TRUCK!

Baby sister loves it too.
Even after she realizes she isn't quite strong enough to keep herself up!Have a great week!
...and remember to bounce back up if something happens to get you down.
(i love the little reminders children give us without even meaning to ;)

13 November 2009

Two of my favorite things in six songs for five dollars.

11 November 2009

Suction cup.

At what point is it inappropriate for him to see me nurse?
Thank goodness he thinks it belongs on the tummy!
Though he did proceed to suction it to the television screen and then to baby sister's head.

BTW, these are THE BEST nursing pads ever. I love them. If asked, I would be their official spokeswoman.

Best night of my life. Seriously.

Saturday, at the E Center.
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE tour.
I felt like a school girl.
I was even brought to tears more times than I am willing to admit.
For me, way better than any concert...
Hay was the perfect person to accompany me. She cried too.
If you care, check out her blog for a better overview.
She seriously did a professional write up...
(And be prepared because I stole all of her pictures.)
I am still beaming. And kind of shaking from the excitement that was
So you THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Dance. dance. dance. DANCE. dance...

ps. next year I am forking out the big bucks (saving my pennies) for FRONT ROW SEATS.
That's right folks, I want to taste their sweat.

Brotherly love.

Blake and Trent, Dec 2007
(sad that I don't have a more recent pic of them together...)

Happy Happy birthday to my two fantastic brothers!
T celebrated last week, and B celebrates today.
I feel like everyone deserves a brother just because mine are the greatest.
We miss you like crazy. So much love to you both!

Simple (and necessary) Pleasures.

A 074
4 weeks without a fridge.
I DO NOT recommend it.

I was seriously jumping for joy when it arrived yesterday.
We wont be eating Boboli pizza or pasta out of a box for A LONG TIME.

TOO big TOO fast.

8 Months.
That's the bad thing about being so busy lately... time flies.
I get a little anxiety thinking that I am missing out on precious moments;
that someday soon my babies will no longer be babies.
Do I dare say it AGAIN?
I do.
The sweetest. Truly.

31 October 2009

Costume Change.

The festivities started early in the week with a little Trunk-or-Treat action.
We're talking warm and easy costumes.
Okay. Only easy because I forgot about it. (I'm still unpacking)
She is still so stinking sweet.

Woody is not a fan of pictures these days...
Fast forward to four days later.
Every year at work, Ben's company goes ALL OUT for Halloween. I really wish you could see it...
Anyway, his dept's theme this year was Las Vegas, so he decided to go as a Blue Man. (yes, he did ride his bike to work as a Blue Man...
you must remember we have only one car over here.)

...and we decided to follow him there to form the
BLUEtsch MAN GROUPI personally think our makeup looked much better in person,
the camera made us look all splotchy, but you get the idea.

An hour after returning home as the BMG, we were
due at DA KNIGHTS
as S.Treighton Harrow and Silky M. Adam
for a little ROARIN' 20's murder mystery.
The Men

The Ladies

Ben played his character quite well, and though I am not at all in touch with my thespian side,
Miss Silky M. Adam (that's me!) ended up being the murderer!!!
It was SUCH a fun evening.

Saturday morning came and we had so much to do after such a busy week, so we carved only one pumpkin (I would feel horrible if Case missed out on that), got a lot done around the house, closed out the apartment (WOOHOO!) and stayed in to greet our trick-or-treaters.
My monkey boy is sick of the camera these days (do you blame him, my bad!)
so I have started to bribe him. "SMILE AND I WILL GIVE YOU ONE PIECE OF CANDY!"
Apparently he liked that idea....he liked it well enough that he even gave me two poses!
Sweet boy. (no pun intended)

We hope yours was just as sweet... and eventful!!!

That's plenty of fun for one week... now it's back to work!

29 October 2009

Two peas in Pod.

Yes, Ben is still in his pj's because this was the first thing Case wanted to do this particular morning...
(I at least made the monkey get dressed first)
There's a perfect little hill on our street. Ben might be sorry that he ever introduced
the little man to this thrill... it might make for some nippy and dark morning rides!

These two have so much fun together.
Cason has truly found a hero in his dad.

27 October 2009

Projects. And LOTS of them.

Lucia's room is just near completion.

I have a mile long list of projects for both Ben and myself. I can hardly wrap my head around it all.
So just know that this blog of mine will take on a before and after appearance here real soon.
And these said projects are most likely the cause for (albeit unexcused) unreturned phone calls, one-sided friendships, forgotten birthdays, etc.
I'll admit it, I'm all wrapped up in myself right now.
But when I finish, I will have a party.
AND YOU'RE ALL INVITED.

26 October 2009

Let the wild rumpus start!

This is the ONLY way he knows how to love her...
and she loves every second of it
(most of the time).
She finally pinned him.
...Using SLOBBER as her secret weapon.

25 October 2009

No words.
A 028
...except that we are all just fine (including the other car).
Not even one bump or scrape. Nothing but gratitude over here.

21 October 2009

Pumpkin Land.

We headed to the pumpkin patch with Dana... figured we should do something fun before she goes home thinking that all we do is stay indoors and work.

We picked up the cutest pumpkin we could find.
Of course Ben and Case enthusiastically ran through the corn maze.
While Dana and I just took lots of pictures...

He loved the corn. But loves his pumpkin more. He picked it out all by himself.
Where's Lucia???

Aunt Dana is so much fun...

All I wanted was a cute classic little pic of my babies amongst the pumpkins.
Cason was determined to make the ugliest face possible....
C'mon ya big monkey! Just smile already so we can get going!! I'm hungry!
Better Luck next year, I guess.

Happy Fall to you all!
